The Adamson University College of Law was established on June 1, 1941. Its first Dean was the late Elpidio Quirino. Is one of the nine colleges of Adamson University, a private Catholic university located in Manila, Philippines. ==History == Soon after its establishment, on December 8, 1941, the pacific war destroyed the University. In 1948, the University re- opened and offered the law course, with Prof. Nicanor Reyes as its second dean from 1948 to 1952. In 1952, Prof. Godofredo del Rosario was appointed head of the College of Law in an acting capacity up to 1956 to 1964. In 1964, Prof. Godoferdo del Rosario served as acting dean up to 1965, Dr. Marcos Herras became the dean of the College of Law up to 1982. In 1982, Prof. Ponciano Subido assumed the Deanship of the College. In 2002, Dean Antonio H. Abad, Jr. was appointed to head the College of Law. In June 1969, the Legal Aid Clinic was established. This legal component of the College was initiated by Judge Minerva Piguing and organized as the Legal Laboratory for law students and to provide legal aid and assistance to needy but indigent individuals. To date this clinic has become one of the major outreach programs of the College of Law. Additionally, the Adamson University College of Law became the first College to tie up with PHILCONSA. In April 2004, the Adamson College of Law established a Bar Review Center to prepare its graduates for the Bar Examinations. Prominent practitioners and renowned bar reviewers were tapped to lecture on their field of expertise. Graduates of other law schools were invited to enroll in the new Bar Review Center. The College of Law trains the students to develop a sound, systematic, and analytical thinking and clear and forceful self-expression.
